Baby elephant's first swim!
The sun glistened across the river as a small herd of elephants gathered at the water’s edge. Among them was a curious little calf, only a few months old, nervously stepping closer to the cool, rippling surface. It was time for a milestone—his very first swim.
At first, the baby elephant lifted his tiny trunk high, sniffing the air as if unsure whether the river was friend or foe. His mother gently nudged him forward, offering comfort and encouragement. With a squeaky trumpet, he finally splashed into the shallows, sending sprays of water into the air.
The calf stumbled, legs wobbling as he tried to balance. His trunk flopped wildly, scooping up water by accident, and then he sneezed it out with a comical blast. The older elephants trumpeted with excitement, cheering him on as they surrounded him protectively.
Bit by bit, confidence replaced hesitation. The little elephant began paddling, pushing his body forward with surprising determination. Soon, he was floating beside his mother, kicking and splashing with glee. Every movement was a discovery, every bubble a burst of joy.
By the time he climbed back onto the riverbank, muddy and dripping, his eyes sparkled with pride. His first swim had been a triumph, and the herd celebrated this new step in his journey.
