A Mother’s Elephant Arrives in Time
Dust rose from the dry riverbed as the young calf struggled, its small legs slipping against the steep bank. The water below moved slowly, but panic made it feel like a rushing current. The calf cried out, a thin, frightened sound that echoed across the savanna. For a moment, it stood alone, unsure which way meant safety.
